This half-day Cusco city tour can be done in the morning or in the afternoon, starting with pick-up from your hotel and then touring the Imperial City of Cusco and its surroundings:

• Qoricancha and the Convent of Santo Domingo: Visit the most important temple for sun worship, built over the spectacular Qoricancha, whose walls were covered with solid gold sheets.
• Sacsayhuamán: Explore this impressive Inca military fortress, recognized for its gigantic stones and its puma-head shape design.
• Q'enqo: Discover this ceremonial center with impressive hand-carved rock formations, zigzag channels, and caves with an altar.
• Puka Pukara: Learn about the "red fortress," a small site that may have served to protect the water source of Tambomachay.
• Tambomachay: Visit the "Water Temple," a royal house of Inca Yupanqui with interesting aqueducts, canals, and waterfalls carved in stone.
